Fission in Rapidly Rotating Nuclei
Journal Title: Journal of Nuclear Physics, Material Sciences, Radiation and Applications - Year 2014, Vol 1, Issue 2
Abstract
We study the effect of rotation in fission of the atomic nucleus256Fm using an independent-particle shell model with the mean field represented by a deformed Woods-Saxon potential and the shapes defined through the Cassinian oval parametrization. The variations of barrier height with increasing angular momentum, appearance of double hump in fission path are analysed. Our calculations explain the appearance of double hump in fission path of 256Fm nucleus. The second minimum vanishes with increase in angular momentum which hints that the fission barrier disappears at large spin.

Heavy-ion Fusion Cross Sections of 32S on 90,96Zr Targets Using Coulomb and Proximity Potential
The fusion excitation functions for the fusion of 32S on 90,96Zr have been calculated larger value, while using one-dimensional barrier penetration model, taking scattering potential as the sum of Coulomb and proximity p...
Signal of h → µτ, ττ in ν2HDM⊕S3
Nowadays in particle physics, the exploration of the flavour physics through the Higgs boson phenomenology is one of the main goals in the field. In particular, we are interested in the Lepton Flavour Violation (LFV) pro...
Forward-Backward Multiplicity Correlations in Relativistic Heavy-Ion Collisions
Forward-backward multiplicitycorrelations are investigated by analyzing the experimental data on 6O-AgBr collisions at 14.5A, 60A and 200A GeV/c and the findings are compared with the predictions of Monte Carlo model, hI...
In silico Analysis of the Structural Properties of PSMA and its Energetic Relationship with Zn as Cofactor
The prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) is a 100 kDa type II transmembrane glycoprotein with enzymatic activity similar to the family of zinc-dependent exopeptidases. This protein is of great medical and pharmacolo...
Study of secondary muons detected within the tunnels of the Cholula pyramid
The pyramid of Cholula was built at the beginning of 100 B.C. and during of period of 500 years it was finished, had several new constructions, based on the previous constructions. The primarily material of construction...
