FOOD SAFETY OF UKRAINE: TOPICAL ISSUES OF QUALITY AND AVAILABILITY OF FOOD PRODUCTS

Abstract
The article analyzes the qualitative component of access of Ukrainian population to food products and real financial possibilities of citizens. Based on a thorough study of the value of food sets in accordance with the methodology for determining the subsistence level in Ukraine, a number of aspects that are not true are identified. On the basis of revealed discrepancies and differences, the directions of improving access to food for the population, in particular in qualitative and financial dimensions, were considered. A number of proposals for strengthening food security in Ukraine are presented.
