FORECASTING THE POSSIBILITY OF BUSINESS BANKRUPTCY

Abstract

Successful operation of enterprises in an unstable economic situation is possible only if the crisis phenomena that can arise at the appropriate stage of their development can be overcome. This can be done by timely analysis of the financial sustainability of the enterprise. Detailing the procedural aspect of the methodology for analysing financial stability depends on the goal, objectives, as well as various factors of information, temporary, methodological, technical, personnel provision. However, it should be noted that the results of formalized analytical procedures should not be the only and unconditional criterion for making a decision. To study the current economic situation, there are numerous developments in analysing and forecasting the activities of insolvent enterprises, which makes it possible to establish doubts about the continued activity of the entity, that is, to identify and assess the signs of the probability of bankruptcy, insolvent enterprises. Solving the tasks of establishing a company’s financial sustainability requires developing its own financial resources management policy. Proceeding from this, the issue of preventing bankruptcy and ensuring a stable financial state, as the main prerequisite for increasing the competitiveness of enterprises, becomes a matter of urgency. The stability of the enterprise is a guarantee of survival and the basis of the stability of the situation. The article deals with the features of the use of bankruptcy assessment models with factors that may affect them and models for assessing the crisis situation at the enterprise. The methodical approaches to assessing the level of financial sustainability of an enterprise, the essence of the process of managing the company’s finances and ways to prevent bankruptcy are explored.
