Forgiveness: theoretical analysis of the concept

Abstract
The article substantiates the urgency of the study of the forgiveness problem. A theoretical analysis of scientific views on the nature of the phenomenon is carried out, and the evolution of its interpretation is examined. The differences with the close notions are considered. The absence of a single view on the content and conceptualization of forgiveness, and the lack of any profound research is established.
