FORMATION OF COMPETENCE OF LIFE SAFETY OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

Abstract
The relevance of gaining knowledge by students and approaches and methods to improve the learning process as base of formation of students’ life safety competence have been shown in the article. The main results of student learning for typical curriculum have been considered. There have been proposed the directions of expansion outlook of student as individual and member of society. The research objecto of the paper is the level of students’ life safety competence. The purpose of the work is determining ways and methods of improving the efficiency of educational process to obtain sufficient level of students’ life safety competence. The relevance and features of forming the personal safety of high school students during education and in the workplace and everyday activities further have been caused by the growth of the number and danger of environmental and technological disasters that create a need for search for new concepts of human coexistence with the environment. The graduate from high school of technical profile must have level outlook which will allow him to be guided in the widely-divergent environment, to analyze dangerous objects, phenomenon in all its forms, to evaluate the risks, to predict the nearest and term consequences of incidents, to be able to be guided in dangerous situations, to protect himself and his native people from the adverse effects. Therefore it is important to form the need for the personal safety as basis of self-improvement and self-development of a student, as a future full member of society.
