FUNCTIONAL RANGE OF SECONDARY NOMINATIONS OF QUANTITY IN ENGLISH JOURNALISTIC TEXTS

Abstract
The article deals with the functional specifics of secondary nominations of indefinite quantity in accordance to jour- nalistic discourse as their functioning field. As well as four main functions (quantity and quality evaluation, expressive and pragmatic), the article also presents additional functions: nominative, attractive, depictive, visualization, aesthetic, euphemious and cognitive. Numerous examples allow detailed analyzing of the functional abilities full range of indefinite secondary quantitatives.
