FUNCTIONS OF MUSICAL AND THEORETICAL EDUCATION IN PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF THE FUTURE TEACHERS OF MUSIC

Abstract
The article deals with the problem of functional determinancy of musical and theoretical education in professional training of the future teachers of music – to be more precise, developing, educational-auxiliary and competence-forming functions. The topicalty of the issue is stipulated by the need to draw together the contents of students’ training and practical demands of school. The significance of the developing function has been revealed: it presupposes the basic role of special musical and creative abilities, success in all kinds of the musical activity – perception, performing, musical and pedagogical creative work. The peculiarity of the educational-auxiliary function has been identified through the prism of the tasks of the musical and theoretical education which form the basis of the musical education. Their essence manifests itself in the accumulation of the experience to perceive, in musical and theoretical knowledge, in cultivation of general means of students’ musical and educational activities possessing cognitive and performing-creative characteristics. The specificity of the competence-forming function has been revealed: it presupposes students’ direct mastering of a complex of skills necessary for a teacher of music during musical and theoretical disciplines. The ways to provide theoretical education with functional optimality have been grounded; they are: consistency in the teaching / learning process organization, technologization and algorithmization of students’ musical abilities development, stage-by-stage formation of students’ self-guided, educational and creative activities, actualization of innerdisciplinary and interdisciplinary links within disciplines constituting one and the same cycle, coordination between the contents of education within disciplines constituting different cycles. The forms facilitating pedagogical cooperation and the means providing mobile and flexible links which are aimed at coordinating the contents of education between different disciplines have been characterized; they are: creation of a pedagogical forum, a methods-targeted site, elaboration of portfolio with a data basis containing video-lessons, presentation classes, cloud technologies. The forms of assignments aimed at the activization of students’ educational activity which involve innovative technologies of self-organisation and adoption of educational material like the music and graphic programmes «Sibelius», «Final», video-recordings – «video-selfie» have been described as well as the ways how to use the elements of the distance communication in the mode «teacher – student». The described forms providing the use of the information-communication technologies and technical means of education aimed at increasing the quality of students’ musical and methodical training; they are, to be more presice: elaboration of presentations, visual aids, organization of computer-game forms which facilitate mastering of some elements of musiacal literacy, elaboration of cross-words, conducting of musical contests, musical games using a computer and the Internet. The contrastive data of the stating and final diagnostic tests which confirm the efficiency of the methods and forms providing the realization of the designated functions of the musical and theoretical education while training the future teachers of music have been given.
