FUZZY ASSESSMENT OF WASTE LAND

Abstract

Purpose. To assess the impact of changing the values of parameters of waste land on the choice of their use with fuzzy logic. Methodology. We have applied the methods of the theory of fuzzy sets that provide statistically significant results of the solution of fuzzy and weakly formalized tasks, when available sources of information interpret the object of research inaccurately or indistinctly. We have used various diagnostic attributes of the suitability of used waste land for biological reclamation to substantiate their fuzzy evaluation. Results. We have developed the principles of fuzzy evaluation of waste land to determine the rational nature of their post-industrial use. Disturbed lands according to their parameters are differently suitable for possible types of further use. The complexity of their assessment is due to the need to take into account when deciding different climatic, social, economic, environmental and spatial factors, which are often not quantified. We substantiated the feasibility of using fuzzy logic, which allows you to take into account the various possible values of the parameters of waste land. Originality. For the first time, we have established the conformity of fuzzy estimates with the concrete value of the parameters of the waste lands by methods of fuzzy sets. Practical value. We have developed the accessory functions of criteria for assessing the suitability of waste lands by a some parameter to a certain potentially possible type of use that can be applied in waste land management projects. The perspectives of the study are to apply the phasing of waste land according to the clear values of a wider set of indicators (area, thickness of the bulk fertile soil layer, mechanical composition, PH water extraction, the content of aluminum, sodium, clay in the surface layer of soils and rocks, the length of engineering networks, deterioration rate of its structures, etc.).
