GASTRIC BANDING LONG-TERMS RESULTS EVALUATION IN PATIENTS WITH MORBID OBESITY

Abstract
Gastric banding is effective bariatric procedure, which allows to achieve constant and stable weight loss, with decrease of obesity degree from severe to mild or to change the patient’s diagnosis from obesity to excess weight. Also gastric banding leads to stabilization of body weight in 3 years after procedure. Complications’ rate in postoperative period was 5%.
