Gerontoloji Lisans Eğitiminde Veri Araştırmaları Yoluyla İstatistik Öğretimi

Abstract
National and international reports, as well as independent studies showed that the ratio of elderly in population tends to grow fast in near future, and the average life expectancy has been increasing for almost all countries. This data-based projection increased the importance of gerontology discipline. Teaching statistics through data investigations is presented for improving the quality of statistics and data analysis education, which occupies an essential place in gerontology undergraduate education. This paper suggests presenting teaching statistics through data investigations method to gerontology students, and thus, to use this method in gerontology research.
