ГОДОНІМИ ІЗ ГЛОРИФІКАЦІЙНОЮ СЕМАНТИКОЮ В УРБАНОНІМНОМУ ПРОСТОРІ КРИВОГО РОГУ

Abstract
The article investigates the names of the linear objects in the urbanonymic space of Kriviy Rih. Despite the fact that hodonyms occupy an important place in the urbanonymic space of Kriviy Rih, they have not been subjected to thorough research, and that predetermines the relevance of our scientific exploration, the aim of which is to represent hodonyms with semantics of glorification in the urbanonymic space of Kriviy Rih. The main task is to investigate the motivational-semantic features of hodonyms. Street names, despite mass renaming, demonstrate the actualization of ideological motives; immortalize people in whose honor they were formed. Hodonyms that represent people are quite diverse lexical-semantic group and contrasted to hodonyms that represent non-living beings, where the first ones have semantics of glorification; the second ones are of aesthetic or orienting semantics. In this case we can say that urbanonymic space of Kriviy Rih still has not got rid of the Soviet-communist coloring. In addition, many of the streets glorify people, whose actions and deeds promoted the extermination of the Ukrainian nation, the so-called members of the revolutionary movement. The so-called cultural, scientific and artistic names stand out in the subgroup of hodonyms with the semantics of glorification that represent people. The vast of their part presents foreign writers, composers, artists, scientists and so on. Very small fraction of the hodonyms is national patriotic in the urbanonymic space of Kriviy Rih. This is very clearly observed in the street names that have a local significance. Urbanonymic space is based on the relative integrity of the system and relative stability, which depends on lingual and extra linguistic factors that include social and political circumstances, cultural and ethno-cultural characteristics, and ideological factors. Historical factors are also important, they modify urbanonymic space, assist the analysis of socio-cultural continuity of urbanonyms created in different historical periods. The historical background of hodonyms with the aesthetic and orienting semantics is considered to be the prospect of the research.
