Good practice in the adaptation process based on selected com-panies in the region of Lodz

Abstract
An article presents the importance of well-managed adaptation, both from the perspective of employee and organization. The article lists the common in-struments used in the adaptation of workers. The next section presents the results of research conducted in large companies operating in the region of Lodz. Research, conducted in the form of interviews with employees in these organi-zations, included the issue of introduction into work, instruments used in adap-tation process, atmosphere related in new-workers and role of the manager in the adaptation of subordinates. The collected data allowed the formulation of conclusions and recommendations in integrating and developing adaptation programs.
