The other aim of the census was to get information about the population eligible for the military service, because Yeniçeri army was abolished. Söke that is the subject of this research was one the city where the consensus was conducted. There were two registration books whose numbers were 2959 and 2960 in Söke giving information about the Greek population. The registration books, which are accepted as one of the important knowledge source with regard to local history, give information about the number of Greek population, their physical characteristics and age, paid tax rate, names and occupations.
