GREEN TOURISM AS A DIRECTION OF INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT OF RURAL TERRITORIES

Abstract
In the article, we have argued that modern globalization challenges have a significant impact on all spheres of activity and all sectors. The dynamics and the process of development of both large cities and rural areas depend on how quickly it will be possible to adapt to these changes. It is proved that the current issue is the search for sources of funding for the development of rural areas and the diversification of the spheres of employment there. One of the areas of such diversification is the development of tourism. The analysis of tourist flows in Ukraine showed a rather insignificant development of the tourist industry. The isolated problems of the development of the market for green tourism services in Ukraine are currently: lack of skilled personnel, excessive tax burden, low level of state support, unsatisfactory transport services for tourists, poor infrastructure development, and low level of development of tourist routes. At the same time, we have established that with each passing year, the demand for green tourism is increasing. We have argued that green tourism will stimulate the attraction of innovations in rural areas and promote multidisciplinary rural development.
