Abstract
On the example of third octave analyses of the noise spectrum in selected types of vehicles, high levels of infrasound noise have been shown in vehicles powered by combustion engines. The studies selected three means of suburban communication: coaches, small busses and passenger cars. The results of third octave analyses have been presented in two forms: G curve correction and without correction against the audible threshold. It has been shown that the highest levels of infrasound noise exposure occur in coaches. The high infrasound level does not result in increased accident occurrence of mass suburban communication.
