Abstract
The article substantiates the relevance of the study of the historical genesis of investigating units of law enforcement bodies of Ukraine in the current conditions of reforming this sphere. Historical and legal analysis of the formation and de- velopment of investigative units of law enforcement agencies of Ukraine is carried out. The main stages of formation and development of investigating units of law enforcement bodies of Ukraine are distinguished and characterized.
