History of Mediaeval and early modern Belarus in the research of Pavel Lojka (1958–2010)

Abstract

Pavel Lojka’s contribution in the study of the history of Mediaeval and Early Modern Belarus is analyzed in the article. The well-known Belarusian historian left a highly rich and diverse scientific heritage. However, his role in the development of Belarusian historiography has not yet received a serious comprehension. Main directions of P. A. Lojka’s scientific research are identified: agrarian and political history, social relations. An analysis of his historiographic heritage is important for determining promising ways of further studying the social and political Belarus history of the XV–XVIII centuries.
