IDENTIFICATION OF WATER CONDITION IN NATURA 2000 AREA – CHEŁM’S CARBONATE PEAT BOG BASED ON SELECTED GIS DATABASE INFORMATION LAYERS OF HYDROGEOLOGICAL MAP OF POLAND 1:50 000

Abstract
The article aims at presenting the possibilities of identification of water conditions in the area of Natura 2000 exemplified by “Chełm’s Carbonate Peat Bog”. The identification was based on the analysis and processing of GIS database information layers of HMP 1:50 000, the main useful aquifer (MUA) and the first aquifer (FA). Identifying changes in water conditions is an element in the assessment of the condition of groundwater and ecosystems dependent on groundwater.
