Abstract

The aim of this in ve sti ga tion is to con fi rm qu a li ta ti ve and fun cti o nal con nec ti ons bet we en se lec ted length me a su res and for ma tion of mo del charac te ri stics of vol leyball players ta ken as the mo del of morp ho lo gi cal con sti tu tion. The re se arch com pre hends fi ve ba sic and fo ur de du ced va ri a bles be lon ging to the sub gro up of in dex of lon gi tu di nal di men si ons. The de du ced va ri a bles are ob ta i ned by the di vi sion of the ba sic re sults in ac cordan ce with the va lu es of body he ight. This hypot he sis of iden ti fi ca tion of typi cal morp ho lo gi cal con sti tu tion of the volleyball players, ba sed on the exa mi ned lon gi tu di nal di men si ons, was ve ri fi ed on the sam ples of both ma le (n - 575) and fe ma le (n - 247) vol leyball players with the use of com bi ned mat he ma ti cal and sta ti sti cal met hods.
