Abstract
The author reviews the contents of the book Representations of the Indigenous World in Hispano-American Cinema, edited by Ester Gimeno (Boston College) and Karen Poe (University of Costa Rica). The book consists of nine articles written by researchers from institutions in America and Europe. It is a noteworthy compilation not only because of its thematic relevance (en vogue, as the editors emphasize in the introduction), but also due to the relevance of the theoretical discussions it generates (about postcolonial and decolonial criticism, psychoanalysis, historical theory).
