Influence of Guided Inquiry Learning Model to Critical Thinking Skills

Abstract
This research is a quasi-experimental research that aims to determine the effect of the application of guided inquiry learning model to critical thinking skills. The research variables consist of independent variables in the form of guided inquiry learning model and dependent variable in the form of critical thinking skills. The research was conducted at SMAN 1 Jonggat class XI IPA with population of 360 students and samples of 72 students who divided into 2 treatment classes namely experimental class and control class. Data on critical thinking skills were collected through the description test and analyzed using the ancova test at 5% significance level. The results of the analysis obtained a significance value of 0.00 <0.05 indicating that there is a significant influence of guided inquiry model on the critical thinking skills. Thus, it can be concluded that the guided inquiry model significantly influences the critical thinking skills of learners.
