INFLUENCE OF MILITARY VEHICLES OPERATIONAL CONDITIONS ON CHANGE OF OPERATIONAL MATERIALS PROPERTIES

Journal Title: Scientific Journal of the Military University of Land Forces - Year 2010, Vol 158, Issue 4

Abstract

The quality of operational materials stored for a long time in military vehicle systems deteriorates under the influence of changeable weather conditions (ageing). This substantially results in decreasing the functional potential of a vehicle. The article discusses changes in time of qualitative indices for fuels, oils, cooling liquid (borygo) stored and also for tyres without protection and protected. The final part of the article presents recommendations that reduce the adverse impact of ageing processes in a vehicle.
