INFLUENCE OF TOURIST FACTORS ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF KHARKOV REGION

Abstract
The aim of the article is to analyze the state of the tourism sector, to assess tourism impact on the economy of the region and to identify different ways of tourism improvement in the region. The impact of tourism development on the activities and operation of certain economic activities of the Kharkov region for the last few years has been analyzed. The comparative analysis of tourist activity to the analysis presented in the «Concept of tourism development in the Kharkov region until 2020» has been carried out. The average expenses of a tourist per day, needed to stay in the Kharkov region have been formed. The proportion of the tourism sector in the service sector of the region in general has been estimated, and it has been found that the scope of tourist services occupies a small percentage of realized services in total. Among the main reasons that lead to this situation are: the lack of information for tourism development, the shortage of highly qualified personnel in the field, political instability of the state and other reasons. The comparison of structural proportions of the tourism sector in the total volume of provided services has been made. The suggestions for the tourism development in the region have been formed. The stable effective tourist policy for the further effective tourism sphere development in Kharkov region that would contribute to the expansion and improvement of tourism sector in the region has been determined. Another way to improve is to increase the role of regional and local tourist organizations in the creation and promotion of tourism services. The problem of tourism in the region is the lack of funding of the industry, so it is necessary to create appropriate conditions in order to attract investments. One of the ways to improve tourism in the region is to enhance the quality of provided services by implementation of international standards.
