INFORMATION FROM CHINESE SOURCES ABOUT THE MILITARY CAMPAIGN OF THE TANG EMPIRE TO TASHKENT IN 750

Abstract
The given article is devoted to the military campaign of the Chinese Tang Empire to Tashkent in the year 750, its causes, and consequences. The analysis of the data shows that the reason for the Tang Empire's campaign to Tashkent was its intention to gain control over Turkestan and establish dominance over trade routes passing through the region. As a result of this campaign, Tang forces suffered a defeat in a clash with the troops of the Arab Caliphate at the Talas River in 751 and were forced to abandon their aggressive plans
