INITIAL PUBLIC OFFERING AND PRIVATE PLACEMENT OF SHARES: ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES

Abstract
The article examines main ways of placement of shares by joint-stock companies. The legal nature of initial public offering and private placement of shares is revealed, and procedure in terms of relevance and spreading of such ways of placement of shares in Ukraine is considered. The article reveals advantages and disadvantages of IPO and PP of shares.
