INTEGRAL INDICATOR FOR HOSPITAL ACTIVITIES
Journal Title: Българско списание за обществено здраве (Bulgarian Journal of Public Health) - Year 2010, Vol 0, Issue 2
Abstract
A methodology has been worked out to determine an integral indicator for assessing hospital activities, including 76 indicators, distributed into 9 groups and providing the quantity and quality of activities performed by any given hospital. The main principle laid down in the methodology is to define a weight coefficient for each indicator and for a group of indicators. The integral indicator for hospital activities is calculated as relative part of the maximum performed average number of points. The assessment of the hospital depends on the value of that indicator. The methodology was piloted in hospitals of different type and submitted to the Ministry of Health.
