INTELLECTUAL CAPITAL: ESSENCE AND STRUCTURE

Abstract
The article examines the essence of the concept of “intellectual capital”. The approaches of domestic and foreign scientists to the classification of its structural elements are considered. The author’s vision of the economic and the accounting essence of intellectual capital is proposed. The classification of the components of intellectual capital and the model of accounting recognition of intellectual assets are developed. The directions of further research are determined.
