INTERNSHIP PROGRAMS AS A METHOD OF ATTRACTING TALENTED YOUNG EMPLOYEES TO BULGARIAN ORGANIZATIONS

Abstract
At times when the recruitment of talented employees is becoming an increasingly difficult task for both small and medium-sized and large organizations, finding new means to attract these professionals is imperative. Internship programs are one of the ways for companies to build good relationships with talented young professionals. The purpose of this article is to outline the possible benefits of implementing internship programs for Bulgarian organizations as well as the attitudes and preferences of young talents to organized internships. The article presents the results of a study conducted by the author among students from one of the leading universities in Bulgaria about the positive aspects and difficulties encountered in the implementation of the internship. Young people who have not yet participated in an internship program about their preferences and expectations from such a program are also being studied. These results could help organizations in Bulgaria to create effective and successful internship programs.
