Investigating the Motivational Prerequisites of Employees' Innovative Behavior (Case Study: Tehran Province Social Security Organization)

Abstract

Today, the necessity of creating change and innovation and creating innovative motivation is known to everyone, and no manager can show indifference to innovation for a long time, and the reality is that change in organizations is inevitable, and therefore managers must provide the conditions and grounds for the emergence of innovative behaviors and create the necessary incentives for it. The main purpose of this research is to investigate and determine the innovative motivational prerequisites of employees in the Social Security Organization of Tehran Province. This research is an applied research in terms of purpose and a descriptive-correlation research in terms of method, of a quantitative type using structural equation modeling. This research is also considered a survey method from the field study branch. In terms of method, the present research is a descriptive research that is carried out with a survey approach by preparing a questionnaire on the research topic and interpreting descriptive results in order to achieve the research objectives. This research is also a cross-sectional research in terms of time. The statistical population of this study included all employees of the Tehran Province Social Security Organization, according to the statistics provided by the Education and Research Office of this organization, numbering 360 people. Morgan table was used to select the sample, which resulted in a sample size of 256 people. The results obtained from the structural equation modeling method showed that the organization's support for creativity and fair pay have an impact on the individual-organization fit. The individual-organization fit also has an impact on the intrinsic motivation of employees and the perceived motivation of employees. In addition, the intrinsic motivation and perceived motivation of employees have an impact on their innovative behavior.
