INVESTIGATION OF GASTROINTESTINAL HELMINTH INFECTIONS IN SHEEP IN THE KOSHRABOT AND ISHTIKHAN DISTRICTS OF SAMARKAND REGION

Abstract
The article presents the results of a study of some gastrointestinal helminthiasis in sheep under the care of the population in the Koshrabot and Ishtikhan districts of the Samarkand region. In particular, the article presents data showing that when examining sheep in the care of the population living in the mountainous area of the Koshrabot district using helminthoprophylaxis methods, 80.7% of them were infected with nematodirus, 24.0% with marshallages, 79.5% with other gastrointestinal strongylates, 20.4% with toxacara and 51.8% with monesia, whereas in the Ishtikhan district, which is considered an irrigated area of the region, 69.7% of sheep in the care of the population were infected with nematodirus, 19.7% with marshallages, 76.3% with other gastrointestinal strongylates and 14.4% with monesia, and in the irrigated area, unlike the mountainous area, no sheep infected with toxacara were found.
