ISOLATION AND PURIFICATION OF INTRACELLULAR CHITOSANOLYTIC ENZYMES OF Mucor circinelloides
Journal Title: Progress on Chemistry and Application of Chitin and its Derivatives - Year 2008, Vol 0, Issue
Abstract
Application of the authors’ new, two-step (bacitracin affinity chromatography and gel filtration on Sephadex G-100) method of purification of M. circinelloides intracellular enzymes gave the preparation with the relatively high activity of both endo-chitosanases and lipases. Our investigations indicate that this purified preparation contains two proteins with almost the same molecular masses and different activities. We have been trying to separate these proteins and purify them to homogeneity. We also intend to determine their 3 D structures and properties. However, the hitherto published results and our findings suggest that we may also identify the new oligomeric lipase, which efficiently depolymerizes chitozan.

FORMATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF SUCCINOYL CHITOSAN PARTICLES LOADED WITH WARNERIN
This study aims to obtain nanoparticles based on succinoyl chitosan loaded with Warnerin (War-SCNPs), low molecular weight cationic peptide. The nanoparticles of succinoyl chitosan (SCNPs) were prepared by salt coacervat...
DEVELOPMENT OF FOOD IMPROVING CALCIUM-ENRICHED BIOACTIVE AGENTS PRODUCED FROM CHITINOUS WASTES GENERATED IN THE PROCESS OF AQUATIC ANIMAL PROCESSING
The CHIZITEL chitin-and-mineral complex is obtained from crustacean wastes. The BAA formula helping to facilitate calcium, phosphorus and magnesium fixation in the human body was found to be the result of this study. Thi...
EFFECT OF CHITOSAN ON THE RHEOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF HYDROGELS BASED ON SODIUM CARBOXYMETHYLCELLULOSE
The aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of changing the concentrations of chitosan on the rheological properties of the obtained formulation. Hydrogels were prepared with 1% hydrocortisone containing 4% sodium ca...
THE USE OF POLYSACCHARIDES FOR ACID RED 18 ANIONIC DYE REMOVAL FROM AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS
In the paper, the adsorption of Acid Red 18 (AR18) on chitosan (CHs), sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) and agar (AGA) was researched. The adsorption capability of biosorbents was examined as a function of initial pH,...
DETERMINATION OF THE HYDROLYTIC ACTIVITY OF WHOLE SALIVA USING CHITOSAN ASCORBATE AS A SUBSTRATE
The aim of this work was to evaluate of hydrolytic activity of whole saliva using chitosan ascorbate as a substrate. In this aim, the concentrations of N-acetyl-D-glucosamine were determined in saliva before addition of...
