IVAN FRANKO IN THE HISTORY OF UKRAINIAN TEXTBOOK CREATION

Abstract
The article is devoted to the history of Ukrainian textbook creation; in particular, I. Franko’s views on the methodology of a school and university textbook creatingon literature are analysed and systematized. Ivan Franko’s pedagogical conception of text-centrism as the basis of literary education, its criteria for scientific objectivity and the individual style of educational books are explored and substantiated.
