Abstract
Universities can be evaluated at the local, state, regional, continental and world levels. The current system of world rankings of universities is aimed at determining the so-called influence factor of an individual educational institution on the global development process (impact factor). There are several world rankings of universities. What are they based on? We will consider in detail only one of them, which is prepared annually by the European Scientific and Industrial Chamber.
