Abstract
At the turn of the XIX–XX centuries, which are characterized as a period of national renaissance, the democratic intellectual elite of Azerbaijan faced one of the main problems in the history of the Azerbaijani people – the women's education and upbringing. The staff of «Fiyuzat» journal, and in particular, Ali Bek Huseynzade, held an active position in this situation. These issues were widely covered in the journal's pages through publishing articles on this subject, carrying out propaganda and agitation, and promoting art, publicistic and pedagogical works.
