Abstract
The article is a review of Renata Majewska’s book titled Arcadia of the North. Edda Myths in “Lilla Weneda” and “Król-Duch” by Juliusz Słowacki, published in a series of publications titled “Black Romanticism”. The author analyses Juliusz Słowacki’s dramas entitled: Lilla Weneda and The King-Spirit (Król-Duch) in the light of Islandic Edda. The researcher also uses Latin, German and French translations of Edda. In her paper, she also makes use of gender and queer methodology.
