KARL BARTH’S THEOLOGY AND EXISTENTIALISM: IMITATION OR OPPOSITION?

Abstract
It is known that K. Barth is one of the most famous theologians of the twentieth century, and his contribution to the development of Protestantism was once called even a true theological revolution. The Swiss theologian proposed again to make a radical reorientation of theological thinking from the person to God himself and proclaimed the ex-istence of an irresistible qualitative difference between God and man. K. Barth again confirmed that God is not an or-dinary object in the world of other objects, and theology is not a compendium of judgments about him that is different from all human and never identical to what we call God, unknown, unapproachable, distant, strange and superior All our ideas about it. K. Bart contrasted religion and faith and noted that religious experience, religious cult, religious feelings exist outside of God, and sometimes gradually turn into their opposite, and liberal theology in this context turned into a deliberately concealed deification of man, while forgetting about «A glacial crack, a polar region and a devastation zone» that exist between perishable and eternal. It is also known that K. Barth, using certain ideas of S. Kierkegaard, tried to move away from the clever web of rational ideas and concepts in theological thinking, and to return the original meaning to the biblical concepts. However, a detailed analysis of the work of K. Barth, as we will try to prove in this study, radically undermines this assertion of the Russian researcher.
