Abstract
W artykule przedstawiono przegląd wybranych, pozyskiwanych z biomasy, związków furanowych mających duży potencjał dla syntezy cennych biochemikaliów. Skupiono się głównie na katalitycznych metodach otrzymywania i właściwościach pochodnych furfuralu, które mogą stanowić biokomponenty paliwowe dodawane do tradycyjnej benzyny, oleju napędowego lub stanowić samoistne biopaliwa.
