КОНСОЛІДАЦІЯ ПАРТІЙНОЇ СИСТЕМИ ЯК КЛЮЧОВИЙ ЕТАП ДЕМОКРАТИЗАЦІЇ СУСПІЛЬСТВА (НА ПРИКЛАДІ СЛОВАЧЧИНИ ТА ЧЕХІЇ)

Abstract
In the thesis the process of transit to democracy in the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic is analyzed. The successful transitions to the democracy in these countries were caused not only by the political and cultural factors but also by the efficient institutional engineering of the Czech and Slovak reformers. During the post-socialist period in the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic confirmed attitude to democracy as the best political regime. The activist political culture evidenced by high participation to the national and local level, and the overall level of satisfaction with the system of public administration can be confirmed by increasing confidence to the relevant authorities and agencies. The authors make the conclusion that the process of the party systems formation in Czech Republic and Slovak Republic are not finished but the potential opportunities for the party systems consolidation in these countries are rather high.
