Korzyści jakie przynosi diagnostyka molekularna w rozpoznawaniu i leczeniu alergii

Abstract
Until recently, the diagnostics of allergic diseases was based exclusively on clinical history, analysis of the patient's symptoms, skin prick tests and specific immunoglobulin E (sIgE) assays for allergen extracts. The discovery of allergen molecules is a breakthrough in understanding allergies and brings numerous benefits to patients with suspicion of allergy, especially to those at risk of anaphylaxis. Multiparametric tests assessing the presence of sIgE against allergen molecules in serum make the diagnosis of sensitization in the patient more precise. In other words, they permit personalisation of therapeutic recommendations. Therefore, we can say that molecular diagnostics of allergy, after the discovery of IgE, is the next milestone in the diagnosis of allergies. ............................... Do niedawna diagnostyka chorób alergicznych była oparta wyłącznie na wywiadzie klinicznym, analizie objawów występujących u pacjenta, punktowych testach skórnych oraz oznaczeniach swoistych immunoglobulin E (sIgE) wobec ekstraktów alergenowych. Odkrycie molekuł alergenowych stanowi przełom w rozumieniu alergii oraz przynosi liczne korzyści pacjentom z podejrzeniem alergii a szczególnie tym zagrożonym anafilaksją. Multiparametrowe testy oceniające obecność w surowicy sIgE wobec molekuł alergenowych pozwalają na bardziej precyzyjną diagnostykę uczulenia u danego pacjenta, co przekłada się na możliwość spersonalizowania zaleceń terapeutycznych. Zatem, możemy powiedzieć, że diagnostyka molekularna alergii IgE zależnej jest kolejnym krokiem milowym w diagnozowaniu alergii.
