LAWYER AS A SUBJECT OF PROTECTION OF THE RIGHTS OF A PERSON IN A HUMAN RIGHTS MECHANISM

Abstract
The article studies the issues in respect of a role and place of the advocacy institution in the Ukrainian human rights system in the process of exercising constitutional right to legal assistance by an individual. In this article, a lawyer is considered by the author as a subject of protection of rights of a person in the human rights mechanism. The author maintains an attitude meaning that the advocacy in itself is an institution of public society. The author draws a conclusion that the whole advocacy activities for rendering legal assistance and legal protection are addressed both to individuals, associations thereof, and the society in general.
