Abstract
The article considers the legal aspects of application of the EU sanctions against the Russian Federation and certain persons in connection to actions undermining sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. It traces the process of decision-making by the European institutions on the application of sanctions. It further reviews the existing problems of the EU sanctions regime with respect to Russian Federation and certain persons.
