LEGAL ASPECTS OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN THE ENVIRONMENTAL SECTOR

Abstract
The author discloses the legal aspects of ensuring sustainable development in the environmental sphere. It’s noted that sustainable development implies a stable equilibrium condition of the environment with a steady economic growth. It’s emphasized that domestic legislators, creating regulatory acts for ensuring sustainable development in the environmental sphere, for a long time continued to outline the advantage of managing other areas of human life. According to the author, only the adoption of the Law of Ukraine “On the Strategy of Sustainable Development “Ukraine – 2020” in 2015 marked the beginning of the transformation of the domestic approach to the legal regulation of sustainable development in the environmental sphere in the direction of spreading the practice of energy saving and energy consumption with the introduction of innovative technologies, creation of legal incentives for the use of alternative energy sources.
