LEGAL REGULATIONS OF STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS FUNCTIONING IN CANADA AND UKRAINE

Abstract
The article examines the legal regulation of the functioning of student self-government of the universities in Canada and Ukraine. A detailed analysis of the Canadian Act respecting “Accreditation and financing of students’ associations” in comparison with the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education” concerning student self-government has been done. The main differences of Ukrainian legislation regarding student self-government in comparison with the legal framework of Canadian province of Quebec are highlighted.
