Journal Title: International Research Journal of Applied and Basic Sciences - Year 2015, Vol 9, Issue 7

Abstract

Children are among the poor strata of criminal society that support of them by the legislature with respect to their physical and psychological status is of great importance. Sexual harassment is an instance of the child abuse. However, it has many examples that the most important ones include: sex tourism, pornography with respect to the children, child trafficking and crimes and indecent behavior against children. With respect to this issue, the most important legislation to protect children from sexual harassment is not sufficiently empowered in the international Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1989 and unfortunately in the National Archives for protection of child against sexual offenses. But even in some cases, an opposite policy has been adopted, as in the cases of women that legislators instead of adopting a differential policy to support women have adopted an opposite policy. The most important law in the National Archives Act is the Child Protection Act that was enacted in 1381. This paper examines the criminal protection aspects anticipated for protecting children against sexual harassment in the national and international documents.
