Autorki przedstawiają zależności pomiędzy trudnościami w funkcjonowaniu dzieci z diagnozą zespołu Aspergera oraz lękową postawą matek, która często wyraża się poprzez zachowania nadmiernie ochraniające. Wskazują na możliwości pomocy terapeutycznej w tym zakresie.
