«ЛЕКЦІЇ» ТА МОТИВ ВАЖЛИВОСТІ НАВЧАННЯ В УКРАЇНСЬКИХ ХУДОЖНІХ ПЕРЕКЛАДАХ ПЕРІОДУ 1920-30-Х РОКІВ (на матеріалі скороченого перекладу-переказу Е. Збарської повісті Джеймса Олівера Кервуда «Казан»)

Abstract
The article pioneers introduction into the abridged and free translation by E. Zbars’ka of James Oliver Curwood’s novel «Kazan» of the educational process marker «lektsiya» («lecture») and of the motive of importance of education. The educational process marker «lektsiya» («lecture») and the motive of importance of education are also represented in some works of the then national literature, namely in the works of one of the most prominent Ukrainian writers of the 1920-30’s Valeryian Pidmohylnyi, that may confirm some ideas of the literary polisystem theory by Itamar Even-Zohar about some interconnections between the national and translated literatures of the same time period. Some similar introductions of the educational process marker «lektsiya» («lecture») were made into the translation by E. Zbars’ka of Ernest Thompson Seton’s novel «Two Little Savages».It may confirm one of the ideas of the literary polisystem theory by Itamar Even-Zohar, that translations performed in the same time period may have common peculiarities. Prospects for research are to continue the research of the free and abridged translations of the 1920-30’s, that is to continue the study of their common peculiarities and their interconnections with the then national literature.
