Les jeunes Maghrébins. Ce que pensent les uns des parlers des autres

Abstract
Young Maghrebians. What do some of the other languages think? Our aim is to focus on sociolinguistic representations in young North Africans. We are adopting a qualitative methodology and using field surveys to ask young people issued from three Maghreb countries (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia) about what scientists termed the “youth speech” (T. BULOT, L.-J. CALVET, M. DREYFUS & C. JUIL-LARD, C. JUILLARD, C. de FÉRAL, A.-M. HOUDEBINE, etc.). We are trying to know what they think of the speaking of each other: what Tunisians think of the speech of other young North Africans, how young Algerians represent the linguistic behaviour of their neighbours, what Moroccans think of the linguistic varieties practiced by other interlocutors of the same age in the Maghreb. A study of the sociolinguistic representations is liable to better tell us about the imaginary and epilinguistic universe in which the young North Africans grow up. The collected corpus is taken from an extended scientific project aiming at understanding the epilinguistic images produced by young Maghrebians. The research data will be treated comparatively to reach a descriptive view of the current situation, which is typically a Maghrebian sociolinguistic situation.
