Levantamento documental sobre a morte em acervo da intendência: delimitação do arquivo de tese

Abstract
This paper presents the file delimitation of a doctoral thesis in Arts, specifically working on the discourse of death certificates from the perspective of Discourse Analysis of the French Model. These files belong to Volume 13 of Municipality Fund, retained in the Municipal Historical Archive of Santa Maria. The article identifies documents written by men who lived in Santa Maria, located in the center of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, during the year of 1896. It aims to establish a criterion for documents selecting to represent the Tome. At the end of the article is presented a preliminary analysis of some documents selected to compose the research corpus.
