Linguopoetic analysis of Kim Addonizio’s verse “Verities”

Abstract
The article touches upon the linguopoetic analysis of the verse by American writer Kim Addisonio “Verities”. It considers the application of occasional structural and semantic transformations of well-known proverbs and sayings that contribute to the achievement of aesthetic effect. The transformations are implemented by the replacement of normative component of paroemia with its contextual antonym, which completely changes the semantics of a set expression.
