Management experience of multicenter clinical trial in ophthalmology

Abstract
Because of the limitation of single-center clinical trials, more researchers attach importance to multicenter clinical trials. Only 6 multicenter clinical trials were registered on Chinese Clinical Trials Registry Center in 2019. Based on an ophthalmologic multicenter trial funded by “5010 plan” from Sun Yat-sen University, the experience and obstacles in planning and promoting the management skills for researchers in multicenter clinical trials were summarized in this article. Moreover, building training system and platform is recommended to facilitate the progress and enhance the quantity and quality for clinical trials.
